William is of record at Portsmouth (Prudence Island). [Ref] Prudence Island is an island in Narragansett Bay.

Children William and Elizabeth:

  1. Mary Allen [Ref] died in 1710. [Ref] She married Thomas Remington, the son of John Remington. [Ref] Thomas died in 1710. [Ref] Mary and Thomas had eight sons and two daughters. [Ref] They settled in Portsmouth and then Warwick. [Ref] Thomas bought 200 acres in Warwick in 1692/3. [Ref]
  2. William Allen was of Portsmouth. [Ref] He was deputy to the General Court in 1705. [Ref]
  3. Thomas Allen was of Swansea. [Ref] A Thomas Allen married Anne, the sister of John Barnes. [Ref]
  4. John Allen was of North Kingston. [Ref]
  5. Matthew Allen was of Portsmouth, Warwick and North Kingston. [Ref]
  6. Mercy Allen married John Barnes.
  7. Sarah Allen. [Ref]
  8. Benjamin Allen was born in 1652. [Ref] He married Hopestill Leonard, probably the daughter of Richard Leonard, in 1695 (int.) [Ref] He was of Rehoboth. [Ref]
