Joseph Morse was baptised in Regrave, Suffolk on 2 May 1613. [Ref] He died before 20 Jun 1654, when inventory was taken on his estate. [Ref] He married Hannah Phillips [Ref] of Watertown on 1 Sep 1638. [Ref] Hannah died between 3 Oct 1676, when she signed her will, and 25 Oct 1676, when it was proved. [Ref] Hannah married second as his second wife Thomas Boyden. [Ref] Thomas was born about 1613. [Ref] He died after 15 Apr 1678. [Ref] He married first Frances Unknown. [Ref] She died on 17 Mar 1657/8. [Ref] Savage says that Hannah was perhaps the sister of Rev. George Phillips. [Ref, 3;242]
Joseph came to New England on the Increase with his parents in 1635. [Ref]
Joseph's uncle James Morse of Barham, Suffolk left him 40 shillings. [Ref]
In her will, Hannah, the wife of Thomas Boyden of Medfield, mentions the eight children that she had with her deceased husband Joseph Morse: Samuel Morse, Joseph Morse, Jeremiah Morse, Hannah Flood, Sarah Lawrence, Dorcas Clarke, Elizabeth Lawrence and Mary Plimpton. [Ref]

Mary Morse died on 25 Dec 1717 in Medfield. [Ref] She married Joseph Plympton on 3 Nov 1675 in Medfield. [Ref][Ref] Torrey says that Mary is the daughter of Joseph. [Ref]
Mary is referred to as Mary Morse in her mother's will. [Ref]
Mary is not the daughter of Daniel and Lydia (Fisher) Morse as Daniel referred to his daughter Mary as Mary West in his will. [Ref] She is not the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Bullen) Morse; their daughter Mary married Ephraim Clark. [Ref]
