Robert signed his will on 29 Oct 1544; it was proved by his wife on 22 Feb 1544/5. In his will, he asks to be buried in the churchyard of our lady at Wissington. He mentions his wife Margaret; his sons James, Lawrence, Thomas and William, who was under 21; his daughter Anne. He does not mention his son John. [Ref]
Robert may be the brother of Thomas Warren, yeoman of Wissington, who signed his will on 7 Dec 1602. This Thomas's will was proved on 18 Jan 1603. He mentions a wife Elizabeth; sons Thomas, Simon, Robert and Henry; daughters Margaret, the wife of John Fox, and Frances. Elizabeth, widow of Wissington, signed her will on 7 May 1604; it was proved on 28 Jun 1605. She mentions her sons Thomas, Simon, Robert and Henry; her daughters Margaret, the wife of John Fox, and Frances. [Ref]

[Ref] He probably married third Margaret Firmety on 30 Jan 1568/9 in Great Horkesley. [Ref] She married previously Unknown Cole.
John Warren of Nayland, husbandman, signed his will on 21 Apr 1576; it was proved by his brothers William and James on 5 Jun 1576. In his will he says that he has a house and land known as Curlie. He mentions his eldest son, John the elder; his second son John the middle; his son Richard; his daughter Anne (Agnes); Agnes Cole, his wife's daughter; John Cole, his wife's son; his brothers James and William. John Scarlett may be the John Scarlett, householder, who was buried on 19 Sep 1614 in Nayland. [Ref] A widow Mary Scarlett was buried on 30 Nov 1625 in Nayland. [Ref] Perhaps she is John's widow and Elizabeth Scarlett's mother.

John Warren, cardmaker of Nayland, wrote his will on 27 Mar 1613; it was proved on 4 Nov 1613. In it, he asks to be buried in the churchyard of Nayland. He mentions his wife Rose; his sons John, Isaac, Nathaniel and Amos; his daughters Mary and Elizabeth; his sons Joshua and Thomas, who were under 21. [Ref]

Elizabeth Scarlett, the wife of John Warren, was probably the Elizabeth Scarlett baptised on 30 Aug 1561 in Nayland. [Ref] She was buried on 27 Mar 1602/3 [!] in Nayland. [Ref] Elizabeth Scarlett [Ref] married John Warren on in Nayland. [Ref]

John Warren was born about 1585. He was baptised on 1 Aug 1585 in Nayland. [Ref][Ref] He died on 13 Dec 1667, age 82, in Watertown. [Ref] He married Margaret Unknown. [Ref] [Ref, p. 110] She died on 6 Nov 1662 in Watertown. [Ref]
John was a cardmaker from Nayland. [Ref, p. 112] In 1629 he was persecuted in Nayland for failing to kneel at communion and in 1530 he left for New England. [Ref, p. 113]
John Warren came to New England in 1630 and settled in Watertown. [Ref] He was a freeman on 18 May 1631. [Ref] He owned eight different lots in Watertown, with a total of nearly 200 acres. [Ref, p. 113] He was chosen selectman in 1636 and 1640 . [Ref, p. 439] He was on the committee to lay out highways on 14 Nov 1635. [Ref] He was on the committee to divide land on 10 Jan 1647/8. [Ref]
In Oct 1651 John was convicted of offenses against the laws concerning baptism. [Ref, p. 439] He was fined for absence from public worship in Apr 1653 and Jun 1654. [Ref, p. 439] John was a member of the Watertown church, but was frequently cited for failing to attend. [Ref] He was warned for further absence in Mar 1659, but the constable reported that "old Warren is not to be found in town." [Ref, p. 439] In May 1661, John's was one of two houses in Watertown searched for Quakers. [Ref, p. 439] Bond speculates that John Warren was a Baptist. [Ref]
John signed his will on 30 Nov 1667; it was proved on 16 Dec 1667. He mentions his sons John and Daniel Warren; his daughter-in-law Mary Warren, the wife of his son Daniell; one pewter porringer"; his daughter Mary Bigalow; his daughter Elizabeth Knape; his grandchild Daniel, the son of Daniel; his grandchild Mary Bigalow; "Michall Bloyse daughter to Richard Bloyse deceased"; "all of my grand children". [Ref] Inventory was taken on his estate on 13 Dec 1667. It was untotalled but included £123 worth of real estate and "one musket, one sword, one halberd". [Ref]

Mary's father called her Mary Bigelow in his will. [Ref]

Elizabeth Warren [Ref, p. 112] was baptised on 21 Jul 1629 in Nayland. [Ref, p. 439][Ref, p. 110][Ref] She married James Knapp [Ref] in 1654 in Watertown. [Ref, p. 113] James was the son of William Knapp. [Ref]
In his diary, the Boston merchant John Hull wrote about 1658:
There was a woman of [illeg.], Knapp; pretending to rail, and being troublesone, she was sent to prison. Sometimes she would hate Quakers, sometimes plead for them; sometimes weeping tears, she could, out of herself, speak not a word to any; sometimes weary others with much speaking.
Demos [Ref, p. 113] argues that it is likely that Hull is referring to Elizabeth. [Ref, p. 113]
Elizabeth's father called her Elizabeth Knape in his will; among other things he left her a book called The Plain Man's Pathway to Heaven. [Ref]
