William died between 21 Jan 1664, when he signed his will, and 28 Mar 1665, when it was proved. [Ref]

William and Elizabeth were in New England by 1638. [Ref] They were in Rowley in 1639. [Ref] William was admitted to the First Church of Boston on 11 Nov 1638. [Ref] On 24 Nov 1639 William was dismissed from the church in Boston and became one of the founders of the church in Rowley. [Ref says September]

William Stickney is on the 7 Oct 1640 list of freemen. [Ref]

William lived in Rowley on 21 Jan 1664. [Ref]

In his will, William mentions his wife Elizabeth; his sons Samuel, Amos, John, Andrew and Thomas; his daughters Mary, Faith, Mercy. [Ref] His daughters were not of age when he signed his will. [Ref]

   In his will, his father says, "As for my son Amos Stickney he having at no time bene any way beneficiall to my estat and I having procured him a trade and given him some part of estat toward his settleing I therfor will and give unto him but five pounds ... " [Ref] Amos took the oath of allegiance on 25 (3) 1669 in Newbury. [Ref]

Samuel Stickney was baptised on 6 Mar 1630/1 in Cottingham, Yorkshire. [Ref] He married first Julian Swan on 18 (2) 1653 in Rowley. [Ref, no last name][Ref, p. 446-7][Ref, pp. 185-6] She was the daughter of Richard and Ann Swan. [Ref, pp. 185-6] He married second as her second husband Prudence Gage on 6 Apr 1674 in Bradford. [Ref] Prudence was the daughter of William Leaver [Ref] She married first Benjamin Gage on 11 Oct 1671 in Bradford. [Ref] Prudence died on 26 Oct 1716, age 72. [Ref]

In his will of 25 Apr 1678 Richard Swan left bequests to Elizabeth, Samuel and Sarah, the children of his son-in-law and daughter Stickney. [Ref]

Samuel Stickney is on the 11 Oct 1682 list of freemen. [Ref]

Samuel Stickney was born on 5 (2) 1663 in Rowley. [Ref, s. William and Elizabeth] He married Mary Haseltine. [Ref][Ref, p. 33]

Samuel died intestate. Inventory was taken on his estate by Richard Kimball and Thomas Carlton on 25 Mar 1715. It included real estate worth 240 pounds, bedding, wearing apparel, furniture, farm animals, looms, tackling and two books. [Ref, 26540;46] Mary Stickney, the widow of Samuel, Richard Kimball and Thomas Carleton, all of Bradford, posted a bond of 1000 pounds on his estate in May 1715. [Ref, 26540;48]

   Samuel Spofford and Sarah his wife of Boxford acknowledged that they had received their full share of their father Samuel Stickney's estate from their brother Thomas Stickney in May 1718. Sarah signed with her mark. [Ref, 26540;15] They acknowledged receipt from their mother Mary Stickney on behalf of their brother Samuel Stickney pounds 8.12.08 on 24 Oct 1722. [Ref, 26540;12]
2. Mary Stickney was born on 29 Sep 1692 in Bradford. [Ref, d. Samuel and Mary] She married Richard Kimball, Jr. on 19 Jun 1716 in Bradford. [Ref]
   Richard Kimball and Mary his wife of Bradford acknowledged the recept of their part of their father Samuel Stickney's estate from their brother Thomas Stickney on 30 Oct 1722. [Ref, 26540;11] Richard Kimball and Mary his wife acknowledged that they received pounds 8.12.07 from Mary Stickney on 1 Nov 1722. [Ref, 26540;14]
   
3. Lieut. Thomas Stickney was born on 23 Aug 1694 in Bradford. [Ref, s. Samuel and Mary] He died on 27 Oct 1769 in Bradford. [Ref] He married first Mary Mullicken on 19 Jun 1716 in Bradford. [Ref] Mary was the daughter of Robert and Rebecca (Savery) Mullicken [Ref, m. 15 Dec 1687 Newbury] and the granddaughter of Robert and Mary (Mitchell) Savery [Ref, Rebecca, d. Robert, b. 20 Jan 1663 Newbury; Robert m. Mary Mitchell 8 Dec 1656 Newbury]. She was born on 26 Sep 1692 in Bradford. [Ref, d. Robert and Rebecca] She died on 2 Mar 1737, age 44, in Bradford.    Thomas acknowledged the recept of ten pounds and ten shillings from his brother Samuel on 21 Jul 1725 in Bradford. [Ref, 26540;10]
   Thomas's grave stone in the old burying ground in the East Parish of Bradford says, "Here lies buried the body of Liut Thomas Stickney who died October the 27th 1769 in the 76th year of his age." [Ref]

Samuel and Susanna are buried in the old burying ground in the East Parish of Bradford. Samuel's gravestone says, "Erected in Memory of Mr. Samuel Stickney who departed this life December the 29th AD 1783 in the 82nd year of his age." Susanna's gravestone says "In Memory of Mrs. Susanna the wife of Mr. Samuel Stickney who died July the 28th 1776 in the 63rd year of her age." [Ref]

In his will of 21 Aug 1783, Sarah's father refers to her as the widow of Jed'h Barker. [Ref]
