William died between 21 Jan 1664, when he signed his will, and 28 Mar 1665, when it was proved. [Ref]

William and Elizabeth were in New England by 1638. [Ref] They were in Rowley in 1639. [Ref] William was admitted to the First Church of Boston on 11 Nov 1638. [Ref] On 24 Nov 1639 William was dismissed from the church in Boston and became one of the founders of the church in Rowley. [Ref says September]

William Stickney is on the 7 Oct 1640 list of freemen. [Ref]

William lived in Rowley on 21 Jan 1664. [Ref]

In his will, William mentions his wife Elizabeth; his sons Samuel, Amos, John, Andrew and Thomas; his daughters Mary, Faith, Mercy. [Ref] His daughters were not of age when he signed his will. [Ref]

[Ref] Prudence was the daughter of William Leaver [Ref] She married first Benjamin Gage on 11 Oct 1671 in Bradford. [Ref] Prudence died on 26 Oct 1716, age 72. [Ref]

In his will of 25 Apr 1678 Richard Swan left bequests to Elizabeth, Samuel and Sarah, the children of his son-in-law and daughter Stickney. [Ref]

Samuel died intestate. Inventory was taken on his estate by Richard Kimball and Thomas Carlton on 25 Mar 1715. It included real estate worth 240 pounds, bedding, wearing apparel, furniture, farm animals, looms, tackling and two books. [Ref, 26540;46] Mary Stickney, the widow of Samuel, Richard Kimball and Thomas Carleton, all of Bradford, posted a bond of 1000 pounds on his estate in May 1715. [Ref, 26540;48]

    Thomas's grave stone in the old burying ground in the East Parish of Bradford says, "Here lies buried the body of Liut Thomas Stickney who died October the 27th 1769 in the 76th year of his age." [Ref]

[Ref] She died on 11 May 1737, age 30, in Bradford. [Ref] He married second Susanna Johnson on 3 Jun 1742 in Bradford. [Ref] She died on 28 Jul 1776, age 63, in Bradford. [Ref]

Samuel and Susanna are buried in the old burying ground in the East Parish of Bradford. Samuel's gravestone says, "Erected in Memory of Mr. Samuel Stickney who departed this life December the 29th AD 1783 in the 82nd year of his age." Susanna's gravestone says "In Memory of Mrs. Susanna the wife of Mr. Samuel Stickney who died July the 28th 1776 in the 63rd year of her age." [Ref]
