CHRISTOPHER OSGOOD

Parents:

Christopher Osgood married first Mary Everett on 21 Apr 1632. [Ref, p. 54] She died on 21 Apr 1633. [Ref, p. 54] She was buried at Marlboro. [Ref, p. 54] He married second Margaret Fowler. Margaret was the daughter of Philip and Mary (Winsley) Fowler. [Ref, p. 54] Margaret married second Thomas Rowel on 26 Feb 1650 in Salisbury. [Ref, p. 54] She married third Thomas Coleman.

On 1 Apr 1665 Christopher Osgood certified that "he engaged to pay all debts at Salem and elsewhere that his mother Coleman justly owed." This was witnessed by William Chandler and John Lovejoy. William Chandler deposed that Valentine Rowell's widow demanded that her mother-in-law, Margery Coleman, administratrix of the the estate of Thomas Coleman, deceased, give her £7 that was due her children. Margery replied that her son Christopher was to pay the debt. On 26 Mar 1672 William Sargeant and his wife Joanna, previously the wife of Valentine Rowell, successfully sued Christopher Osgood for a legacy of £7 due to Valentine's children. Land in Andover belonging to Christopher was attached. [Ref, 5;20]
