Louis was born on 19 Feb 1860 [Ref] in Kyndeløse, Denmark. [Ref] He died in 1950 in Seattle and is buried in the Lake View Cemetery, Volunteer Park. He must be the Lewis Larsen who died on 9 Jun 1950. [Ref] He married Frantsina Hansen on 21 Sep 1888. [Ref][Ref gives only the year]

Louis came to the United States in 1878 [Ref] or in 1881 [Ref][Ref].

Louis' journey from Denmark to Minnesota

The Larsens settled on a homestead in Minnesota. [Ref] They later moved to Litchfield, where Louis had a farm machinery shop and Frantsina had a millinery store. [Ref][Ref] In 1900, Louis went to Kalispel, Montana and worked on railroad bridges. [Ref] After George's birth, the rest of the family moved there as well and Frantsina took in boarders. [Ref] They spent about two years in Kalispel and then moved to Seattle in 1902 or 1903. [Ref] In Seattle, Frantsina had a bakery shop. [Ref]

In 1910 Louis and Frantsina and their children were living in Seattle. Louis was 50 and Frantsina was 46. The children were Clarence F. (age 20), Ruby M. (age 16), Christian E. (age 14), Lilac M. Frantsina's mother lived with them. [Ref]

Louis went to Canada to work in a mine owned by Frantsina's brother Arnold. [Ref] He was joined by Frantsina, who broke her leg in this remote location and it was never set. [Ref] She died in Apr 1914. Louis later worked in a bakery. [Ref]
