Thomas Judd joined the Farmington church on 13 Oct 1652. [Ref] His wife joined about a month later. [Ref] His children were baptised on 10 Apr 1658. [Ref]

BENJAMIN JUDD (c. 1642 - 1689) of Hartford and Farmington

Benjamin Judd was born about 1642. He was baptised on 10 Apr 1658 in Farmington, age 15 in about Mar 1657. [Ref] He died in 1689 in Hartford. [Ref] He married Mary Lewis [Ref] in 1667. [Ref 4;1843]
Benjamin was a freeman in 1669 in Farmington. [Ref 4;1644]
On 28 Oct 1675 the Farmington church considered the request of William, Thomas, John and Benjamin Judd and John Standley, Jr. to move to Mattatuck (later Waterbury). The church cautioned them of the dangers and pointed out that they might not be better off in terms of land. The church members wondered why someone as materially well off as William would want to move. [Ref]
Benjamin Judd and his wife were in full communion in the church in Farmington on 1 Mar 1679. [Ref]
Administration on Benjamin's estate was granted to his widow on 6 Nov 1689. [Ref 1;474] Inventory was taken in 1689. Benjamin's estate amounted to about 267 pounds. His legatees were Benjamin Judd, age 18 years, Mary 14, Sara 12, Hannah 8, Nathaniel 6, Hester 3, Jonathan, one year old. [Ref 1;474] Apparently his wife died not long after Benjamin and administration on Benjamin's estate was granted on Mar 1691/2, to his son Benjamin, his (presumably) brother John Judd and his (presumably) brother in law William Lewis on Mar 1691/2. [Ref 1;473-4] Benjamin's children were named as Benjamin, age 21 years, Nath aniel 8, Jonathan 3, Mary 16, Sarah 14, Hannah 11, Easter, 6 years old. [Ref 1;473]

JONATHAN JUDD (abt 1688 - 1725) of Glastonbury and Middletown

Jonathan Judd was born about 1688. He was baptised on 23 Sep 1688 in Farmington. [Ref] He died on 2 Aug 1725, age 37. [Ref][Ref says 2 Aug] He married Hannah Diggens on 27 Nov 1712 [?] in Glastonbury. [Ref]
On 3 May 1714 Benjamin and Jonathan Judd asked the court for a new distribution of [their uncle] John Lewis's estate as they had not been considered in the original distribution. The court denied the request and Jonathan appealed to the superior court on 22 May 1714. [Ref 1;474]
Jonathan lived on the east side of the river in Middletown. [Ref]
Jonathan was a member of the church organised in East Middleton in 1721. [Ref]
Inventory on the estate of John Lewis of Farmington was taken on 20 Oct 1694.
His brothers and sisters, Philip, Samuel, William, Ebenezer and James Lewis,
Hanna Marsh, Sarah Boltwood, and Felix Selden took oaths. The court granted
administration to Samuel and William Lewis and ordered the estate distributed
to the brothers and sisters. On 3 May 1714 Benjamin and Jonathan Judd asked
for a new distribution as they were not previously considered. The court asked
William Lewis to appear in court. On 22 May 1714 Benjamin and Jonathan Judd
presented their motion, but it was not granted and Jonathan then appealed to
the Superior Court. [Ref]
On 5 Aug 1735 an account of the estate of Jonathan Judd of Middletown was exhibited in court by Hannah. Inventory on his estate was taken by Samuel Hall and Ebenezer Hurlbut on 5 Oct 1735. Inventory taken by Samuel Hall and Ebenezer Hurlbut. Administration was granted to his widow Hannah and to Francis Smith of Middletown. [Ref]
