Parents: There is some question about Lawrence's parentage. Chester [Ref] argues that he is probably the son of Thomas, a proprietor of a large portion of Owthorpe in co. Nottingham during the reign of Henry VIII, and Unknown Drake. He presents the following pedigree for thisThomas:

Thomas Hutchinson died after 4 Mar 1617/8 when he signed his will. He married Alice Unknown. She was buried on 17 Aug 17618. [Ref]
Thomas moved to Arnold, near Nottingham, sometime between 1601 and 1605. [Ref]

Richard Hutchinson was born about 1602/3. [Ref] He died between 19 Jan 1679, when his will is dated, and 26 Sep 1682, when it was proved. [Ref] He married first Alice Bosworth on 7 Dec 1627 in Cotgrave, co. Nottingham. [Ref] He married second the widow Susanna Archer in Oct 1668 in Salem. [Ref] Susanna, the widow of Samuel Archer, died on 26 Nov 1674 in Salem. [Ref] Richard married third Sarah, the widow of James Standish. [Ref]
Alice was a member of the First Church of Danvers in 1636; Richard joined in 1647. [Ref]
Richard was of Salem. [Ref] He is on the 4 Mar 1634/5 list of freemen. [Ref]
Elias Stileman the elder of Salem sold Richard his 150-acre farm on 6 June 1648. [Ref]
In his will, Richard mentions his children Joseph, Abigail and Hannah, his grandchildren Bethiah Hutchinson and Sarah Hadlock, his sons in law Anthony Ashby, Daniel Boardman, Nathaniel Putnam, Thomas Hale and James Hadlock. [Ref]

HANNAH HUTCHINSON (bp. 1639)

Hannah Hutchinson was baptised on 20 Jun 1639 [Ref] in Salem. [Ref] She married Daniel Boardman on 12 Apr 1662. [Ref]
At the 26 Sep 1665 court at Ipswich, Richard Hutchinson and Nathaniel Putnam deposed that they were at Thomas Boreman's house in Ipswich a year ago and that Thomas had agreed that if his son Daniel married Richard's daughter that he would give Daniel a deed for half his house, orchard and land on the condition that if Daniel died without children before his father died, Hannah would be paid £100 and the estate would revert to Thomas. [Ref]
In 1723 Hannah was an "aged person" in Topsfield. [Ref]
