p. 310] on 9 Dec 1667. [Ref, p. 94][Ref]
Arthur's father and uncle Henry were well known Quakers and Gov.
Thomas Prence was strongly opposed. On 5 Mar 1666/7 the General Court,
presided over by Thomas, fined Arthur five pounds for "inveigling of
Misris Elizabeth Prence and makeing motion of marriage to her, and prosecuting
the same contrary to her parrents likeing, and without theire consent, and
directly contrary to their mind and will". On 2 Jul 1667 Arthur solemnly
promised to desist. [Ref, p. 94]
Arthur was constable of Marshfield on 5 Jun 1671. [Ref,
p. 94]

Dorothy, the daughter of Benjamin of Dartmouth, married William
Wilcox, the son of of Damiel (deceased) on '8th, 12 mo., called
february, 1732-3' in Dartmouth. [Ref]

son of William and Dorothy, was born on 8 Aug 1739 in Dartmouth.

married Sarah Smith of Dartmouth, daughter of Ebenezer Smith,
on 2 Jan 1762 in Dartmouth. [Ref]
- David Wilcox, the
son of William, blacksmith, and Sarah, was born on 10
Jan 1762 in Dartmouth. [Ref]
He is said to have gone to Palmyra, Wayne, New York about
1791 and to have purchased a 100 acre farm and blacksmith
ship. He is also said to have married Anna Baker and to
have had a daughter Clarissa, who married Ambrose Hall.
It does not appear well documented, however, that he is
the David Wilcox who went to Palmyra.
- Clarissa Wilcox married Ambrose Hall.
Ambrose Hall of Palmyra, Wayne, New York signed his
will on 27 Dec 1825. He mentions, among others, his
wife Clarissa and his daughter Clarissa. He appointed
William Wilcox as an executor and guardian of his
children. He added a codicil on 3 Oct 1827. [Ref]

- Martha Howland was born about 1638.
She died on 19 Dec 1732, age 94, in Hingham. [Ref,
pp. 128-9] She married first John Damon [Ref,
no first name] of Scituate. [Ref, pp. 128-9] She
married second as his second wife Peter Bacon on 19 Feb 1679/80 in Hingham.
[Ref, pp. 128-9] Peter, the son of George and Margaret
Bacon, was born say 1640 and was baptised on 17 Sep 1654 in Hingham. [Ref,
pp. 128-9] He married first Sarah Jenkins. [Ref,
pp. 128-9] Sarah, the daughter of Edward Jenkins of Scituate, died on 21 Jul
1677 in Hingham. [Ref, pp. 128-9]
