John Hill died on 31 May 1644. [Ref] He married Frances Unknown. [Ref] She was born about 1608. [Ref] She died between 13 Feb 1667/8, when she was taxed, and 1680. [Ref]

Frances was admitted to the Dorchester church about 1638. [Ref]

John is first mentioned in the Dorchester records on 6 Jan 1633/4. [Ref] He was granted land in Dorchester on 18 Feb 1636, 2 Jan 1637/8 and 18 Mar 1638. [Ref]

In his will, dated 11 Apr 1660, John mentions his eldest son John; his son Samuel; his daughter Mary; his wife Frances. [Ref]

Ruth Hill was born in Aug 1644. [Ref] She died on 1 Sep 1736 in Sudbury. [Ref] She married Roger Willis on 19 Jul 1664. [Ref][Ref][Ref]

John Hill's children sold their interests in his rights to land in Stoughton by a deed dated 14 Feb 1733/4; one of the signers, on behalf of her eight children, was Ruth Willis of Sudbury, "Widow of Roger Willis of Sudbury, Yeoman". Ruth acknowledged her signature on 15 Apr 1734. [Ref]
