1. David Burgess was born in Dec 1820.
2. Nathan Burgess was born in Aug 1822.
3. Louisa Burgess was born in May 1824. She died in 1825.
4. Gideon Burgess was born in 1826. He died about 1837, age 11.
5. Clark Burgess was born in Jun 1828.
6. William H. Burgess was born in Apr 1830.
7. John Burgess was born in Apr 1832.
   John was a private in the Petersburg cavalry in the Civil War.
   
8. Lewis Burgess was born Mar 1834. He was killed in 1862 at the Second Battle of Bull Run.
   Lewis was a 2nd lieutenant in the Confederate army.
   
9. Andrew Burgess was born May 1836. He died about 1840, age four.
10. Benjamin Rush Burgess was born in May 1838. He died in 1890 and is buried in the Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. [Ref]
    Rush was mayor of Petersburg.
