RICHARD DANA (d. 1690) of Cambridge

Parents: Richard might be the Richard Dana who was baptised on 31 Oct 1617 in Manchester, England, the son of Robert Dawney and Elizabeth Barlow. Robert, who was baptised on 16 Jun 1571 in Natland, Kendal, co. Westmoreland and buried on 24 May 1644 in Manchester, was the son of Edward and Agnes Dawney. Edward was buried on 23 Apr 1611 in Natland. [Ref]

On 2 Apr 1690, Samuel Sewall wrote in his diary, "Father Dana falls from his scaffold and dies." [Ref] Richard Dana married Anne Bullard. [Ref]

On 26 Apr 1659 Richard Dana and his wife Ann sold their house on the south side of the Charles River, along with 13 acres and a landing place, to Thomas Cheney, husbandman of Cambridge. [Ref, transcript of deed]
