[Ref, p. 72] It is frequently stated (without references) that Elizabeth is the Elizabeth Cary who married Joseph Adams on 23 Feb 1738 [Ref, "Mary Cary"] in the Congregational church in Brooklyn, Windham, Connecticut. [Ref, p. 35] This Elizabeth died on 3 Sep 1753 in Pomfret. [Ref]
