  1. Cary Walker was born on 24 Dec 1910 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. [Ref] She died on 10 Mar 2008 in Oak Bluffs, Dukes county, Massachusetts, age 97. [Ref] She married first Lieut. Gen. Robert Burneston Luckey, USMC in 1933 in Vineyard Haven, Dukes county, Massachusetts. [Ref] He died in 1974. [Ref] She married second Dr. George Scheller in 1977. [Ref] He died in 1984. [Ref]
    Cary graduated from Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut in 1930. [Ref] Bob Luckey was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and was then attached to the US Embassy in Beijing. [Ref] He was stationed in Quantico, Virginia. [Ref] During the war years Bob and Cary lived on Martha's Vineyard. [Ref] Bob was later in command of the Marine Corps Barracks in Washington, DC. [Ref] He became commander of the Fleet Marine Force Atlantic in 1960 and retired to Martha's Vineyard in 1963. [Ref]
