1. Sgt. Benjamin Butterfield was born about 1680. He died on 31 Mar 1715 in Chelmsford. He married Sarah Bates.
2. Samuel Butterfield may be the Samuel who died on 24 Jan 1741/2 in Chelmsford. [Ref] There is a record that says that Samuel married Hannah Spaulding on 2 Jul 1703 in Chelmsford; they had a still born daughter on 14 Nov 1704 in Chelmsford. [Ref] Another record says that Samuel married Rachel Spaulding on 7 Dec 1703 in Chelmsford. [Ref] Samuel and Rachel's first son was born on 24 Oct 1704 in Chelmsford. [Ref] There must have been two Samuels in Chelmsford who married, at about the same time, two women with the last name of Spaulding.
3. Nathaniel Butterfield was born about 1674. He died on 5 Mar 1748/9, age 75 years, in Chelmsford. [Ref] He married Sarah Unknown.
4. Joseph Butterfield was born on 6 Jun 1680 in Chelmsford. [Ref] He may be the Joseph who married Eunice Unknown and had a child recorded in Chelmsford on 19 Jul 1703. [Ref]
