NICHOLAS BUSBY (d. 1657)

Nicholas Busby died on 28 Aug 1657. [Ref, p. 60] His widow died in Jul 1660. [Ref, p. 61]

Nicholas left a substantial estate. [Ref, p. 61] In his will he mentions his daughter Anne Nickerson and his three sons in New England: Abraham Busby, William Nickerson and John Grout. [Ref, p. 61]

Children of Nicholas Busby

  1. Anne Busby was born about 1609. She died after 18 May 1686. She married William Nickerson.
  2. Abraham Busby
  3. Unknown Daughter married John Grout.

ANNE BUSBY (c. 1609 - aft. 1686)

Parents: Nicholas Busby [Ref, p. 56]

Anne Busby was born about 1609. She was living on 18 May 1686. [Ref, p. 94] She married William Nickerson by about 1630. [Ref, p. 56]

At the time of their 8 Apr 1637 examination prior to leaving for New England, William was 33 and Anne was 28. They had children Nicholas, Robert, Elizabeth and Anne. [Ref, p. 56]

In Mar 1657 William and Anne moved to Boston so that Anne might care for her parents in their old age. [Ref, p. 60]

Her father left her fifty pounds and his "thicke bible". [Ref, p. 61]
