LIEUT. ISAAC BUCK (d. 1695)

Isaac Buck died in 1695. He married Frances Unknown.

Isaac Buck was in Scituate by 1643. [Ref]

In 1650 Isaac accued John Hewes of stealing four hoes from him. [Ref]

On 4 Oct 1655 the General Court noted that members of the Scituate train band had carried themselves unworthily in that they promoted unfit people to be sargeants and demoted the court-assigned ensign to sargeant. Isaac, the clerk of the train band, was charged with unworthily demeaning himself and ordered to make a public announcement of this fact at the head of the company. On the same day, he was also fined 20 shillings for refusing to shoe horses to by used by the United Colonies commissioner from New Haven. The fine was later remitted. [Ref]

Isaac was made a freeman in 1658. [Ref]

In 1659 the Court of Assistants noted complaints against him by Constant Southworth and Nathaniel Morton for not paying charges for the magistrates meal's and Morton's wages. He was ordered to pay these charges. [Ref]

Sergeant Isaac Buck was approved by the Court as Lieutenant of the Scituate military company on 1 Mar 1669/70. [Ref] He was deputy to the court, a selectman and a town clerk. [Ref]

Isaac's wife Frances and their son Isaac, Jr. were among the heirs of Esther Woodfield, the widow of John Woodfield, in 1672. [Ref]
