HENRY BIRDSALL (d. 1651) of Salem

Henry Birdsall of Salem died in 1651. [Ref]

He appears to have led an obscure existence; appearing only rarely in the records and never holding a public office, other than juryman.

He was a freeman on 2 May 1638. [Ref]

Henry was on the jury of the 25 (1) 1639 Court at Salem. [Ref] He was a witness in the case of Randall Hailden against Goody Oliver, discharged at the 9 (5) 1644 Court at Salem. [Ref] Henry Birdsall witnessed the will of John Sanders on 22 Oct 1645. [Ref]

Henry Birdsall's will was deposed and the inventory taken in at the 28 (9) 1651 court at Salem. The inventory amounted to a meagre 47£ 19 s. 10 d, it included an old sword, a musket and timber, suggesting that he might have been a carpenter. [Ref]
