John Alcock died between 1671 and 6 Jul 1675. He married Elizabeth Unknown. [Ref]
John Alcock purchased a homestead at Georgiana (York) from William Hooke on 16 Jun 1643. [Ref] On 30 Jun 1647 he was sued by Edward Godfrey on behalf of Sir Fernando Gorges for a debt of £50. He acknowleded owing this and the suit was dismissed. [Ref] He was on the grand jury in 1649. [Ref] He signed the submission of Maine at York in 1652. [Ref] In 1656 he was granted land in Georgiana. [Ref] He was chosen sargeant of the train band of York in 1659. [Ref] He had town grants in the bordering town of Kittery in 1659 and 1669. [Ref] In 1671, as an early settler of York, he received 210 acres there. [Ref] On 6 Jul 1675 administration on his estate was granted to his eldest son Joseph Alcock, Rev. Shubal Dummer and Richard Banks. [Ref]

Sarah Alcock married first John Giddings 2 of Ipswich. [Ref] She married second, as his second wife, Henry Herrick about 1692. [Ref] Henry, the son of Henry Herrick and Edith Laskin, was baptised on 16 Jan 1639/40 in the First Church in Salem. [Ref] He married first Lydia Unknown about 1633. [Ref]
Sarah Giddings received £31 20s. from her father John Alock's estate. [Ref]
